Cast Rock

Cast rock is a building material created through phase transmutation. Basically, quarried rock or gravel is turned into a room-temperature liquid, poured into a mold, and allowed to revert to its normal solid state.

Cast rock is similar in application to terrestrial concrete, however, there are some notable differences. For one thing, cast rock retains the properties of the stone it was made from. Thus, if a particular hard stone is used, the resulting cast rock will also be hard. Cast granite is a particularly durable building material with exceptional structural properties.

Cast rock allows structures to be build monolithically rather than out of smaller blocks as with conventional masonry. In addition, the cast rock can be poured around reinforcing materials, such as core steel.
